How it is done

China painting is an art all to its own.  Attention to detail is time consuming the little nuances like shadows and highlights of a piece are what consumes most of the time.  However firing a piece will take up to two hours, because the temperature that may exceed 1,200 degrees and needs to be brought up slowly and brought down slowly so that it does not crack or shatter.
